City Living - Student

Hot Spots in Leeds

Leeds is one of the best places to be outside of London. The city is a fast growing cosmopolitan hub of life where there certainly is plenty to entertain the thousands of students who spend their uni years here!

Here are our top 5 bars & cafes in this quality city of Leeds!

The Smoothie Company (2 out of 5)
10 Blenheim Walk

This small cafe with original artworks on its walls offers a wide range of smoothies, paninis, coffees and cakes. Priding itself on the healthy taste of its food, everything is made fresh on site and special dietary needs are met with dairy and gluten-free products.

Opposite (3 out of 5)
Woodhouse Lane (opposite Leeds Uni)

Officially the number 1 coffee bar in the North of England. With its friendly staff and scrumptious homemade cakes and brownies this coffee joint is an ideal location for popping into between lectures or after a long day of studying.

Clock Cafe (4 out of 5)
16a Headingley Lane

This retro-themed cafe with its relaxed atmosphere has a tasty selection of warm ciabattas, nachos, herbal teas and coffees. A perfect spot for a coffee and catch up with friends maybe over a game of chess or scrabble.

North Bar (3 out of 5)
New Briggate

A popular bar for all with its superb range of beers from all over the world. The place to go if you know your beers. Quality beers, quality staff, quality surroundings.

Sela Bar (2 out of 5)
New Briggate

One of my favourites although it’s not especially cheap. A trendy bar underground with live jazz nights and candle lit tables, a thoroughly enjoyable place to hang out. Definitely worth stopping here for a couple of drinks now and then.
