The staff of the Megacentre are showing that you can still learn while you work. In partnership with e-sy.info, the South Yorkshire e-Learning Programme, staff at the Megacentre have been busy improving their IT skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint through online computer tutorials.
Their enthusiastic response to the project has earned The Megacentre the coveted “Company of the Month” award, which saw Megalearn learning champions Deb Hardman (Megalearn Manager) and Darron Wilson (Megalearn Administrator) presented with a brand new lap-top computer, a great reward for its staff’s commitment to the programme.
Darron enthuses, “This is an amazing achievement for the Megacentre staff. E-sy.info is a really user-friendly web based learning scheme that allows members of staff to learn in bite-sized chunks. It fits learning into and around their working day and the staff can record their progress as they go. To be rewarded with a lap-top computer is brilliant, and it will surely be put to good use.”
